How do I know if my child would benefit from the handwriting class?

If your child struggles with letter formation, pencil grip, spacing, writing speed, or avoids writing tasks altogether, this class can help build foundational skills in a supportive setting. The program uses a structured, multi-sensory approach led by an occupational therapy professional to strengthen both confidence and fine motor development.

Meadowbrook provides individualized, one-to-one instruction tailored to each student’s learning style and needs rather than a one-size-fits-all curriculum. Our experienced educators focus on building both academic skills and confidence so students can succeed independently in the classroom and beyond.

No special preparation is required—students simply need to arrive ready to participate and try their best. Tutors and instructors provide all necessary materials and adjust instruction based on each child’s current skill level.

Students typically develop stronger foundational skills such as improved pencil control, letter formation, organization, and task confidence over time. Just as importantly, many children begin to feel more comfortable and motivated when completing schoolwork.
