Mission: To remove barriers to learning, foster life success for all individuals and to promote community awareness and understanding of learning differences.
Program Description: Each student is paired with a tutor who works with the student regularly, on a one-to-one basis using an individualized program, based on the student's learning strengths. All of our staff are qualified and hold appropriate credentials. Students are referred to us by a variety of education, health and human services professionals: teachers, counselors and special education consultants, social workers, clinical psychologists, private education centers, professional associations for learning disabilities and state agencies.
Awards & Grants: 2010 Educator of the Year, Pinnnacle Oakland University award; two times Rochester Lion's Club Wallace M. Doc O'Brien Community Improvement Grant; Rochester Junior Women's Club; Filmer Memorial Charitable Trust; Lula Wilson Foundation; also recognized by Target for our "Disadvantaged Children Program", and by Macy's and Kohl's.
